How to play

It's a simple game and you'll get the hang of it in one round. Here's the idea.

Getting in

Type a nickname, pick an avatar and tap Play now. You'll be put in a public room with other players. If you only want to play with people you know, tap Create private room and share the link with them.

When it's your turn to draw

You get a few words to pick from. Choose one and start drawing before the time runs out. Only you can see the word. Please don't write the word or its letters on the canvas. That's cheating, and other players can report it.

You've got a brush, a paint bucket for filling shapes, an eraser, undo and a bunch of colours. Big simple shapes usually work better than tiny details.

When someone else is drawing

Type what you think it is and hit send. You can guess as many times as you want. The dashes under the picture show how many letters the word has, and a few letters appear as the time runs down. If you're really close, you'll see a "very close" message. Only you can see that one.

Points

The quicker you guess, the more you get. The drawer gets points for everyone who guesses it. After the last round, whoever has the most points wins.

A few tips

• Draw the rough shape first, then add details.
• If nobody's getting it, draw something related. For "rain", a cloud with drops works better than a few lines.
