Farming in Scribble Craft Arena: Hoes, Water, Bone Meal and Every Crop
From your first wheat field to pumpkins, melons and berries — how to till, water, plant and harvest so you never run out of food.
Food keeps your hunger bar full, and a full hunger bar heals you. Hunting works for a while, but a farm feeds you for the rest of the game. Here is everything you need to know.

Step 1: till the ground
Seeds only grow on tilled soil. Craft a hoe — two of a material and two sticks, in wood, stone, iron or diamond — and right-click grass with it to turn it into soil. Village farms are already tilled, so you can plant there straight away.
Step 2: put water nearby
Crops grow on their own, but crops within four blocks of water grow twice as fast. Dig a channel through the middle of your field, or scoop a bucket of water from a lake (right-click still water with an empty bucket) and pour it into a hole in the middle of the field. Water spreads up to seven blocks, so one source can keep a whole field green.
Step 3: what to plant
- Wheat — plant seeds (you get them by harvesting wheat). Three wheat make bread.
- Carrots — plant a carrot. Harvest two to four.
- Potatoes — plant a potato. Bake them in the furnace for a filling meal.
- Pumpkins and melons — plant pumpkin or melon seeds. A melon breaks into three to seven slices.
- Sweet berries — red bushes in woods and snow. Right-click to pick them; the bush grows more.
- Glow berries — glowing vines hanging in caves. Pick them the same way — and they light up the cave too.
Cooking turns raw food into real meals
Raw meat, fish and potatoes fill you far better once cooked. Use a campfire (right-click it with raw food) or a furnace. Steak and cooked pork are among the most filling foods; bread, baked potatoes and cooked fish are close behind. Golden apples — an apple surrounded by eight gold ingots — are the best of all, and they are also the cure for a zombie villager.

Let the farmers help
Village farmers replant the field and store bread and vegetables in their house chest. Sell them spare wheat and carrots for Gems, or buy bread, apples and seeds when you are just starting out.
A starter farm layout
A nine-by-nine square with a single water block in the very middle is the classic first farm: every square is within four blocks of water, so the whole field grows at double speed. Till the ground around the water, plant a row of each crop, and put a few torches around the edge so monsters cannot appear inside it at night. Harvest when the crops look full-grown — wheat turns golden, carrots and potatoes show their tops — and replant straight away.
Raising animals
Animals appear according to the land: cows and horses on plains and savanna, sheep and boars in forests, rabbits in deserts and snow. Keep two animals of the same kind together inside a fence of blocks and, over time, they have young. A small pen of cows gives you beef and leather — and milk, if you right-click a cow with an empty bucket.
